Happy 52nd Anniversary, Mollie. My gift to you is not Blogging today. Well, except for these three sentences. And, of course, it would be rude not to skim through my Reader and do some liking of the Blogs my friends have posted. Yes, I know I ruined last Christmas with all my posting and commenting. But I should at least clear my inbox of all the comment and “like” notifications. If I let them stack up, our Bed Bath and Beyond coupons will get lost in the email avalanche. It would be polite to at least acknowledge a few of them. I also have a brilliant idea for tomorrow’s post. So I am just going to do a draft as a placeholder and touch it up later. Because today I am all yours. What do you mean you are heading out to visit your mother? I think she will understand your absence on our Anniversary. She never did like me. She is still trying to break us up. Alright then, but hurry back. I will be miserable until then. Whew, that was a close call.
Ha!

You are 11 years ahead of us, congrats! You appear to have skimped on your title, though. Shouldn’t the first part read, “Not Playing With A?”

That is true but I was also alluding to 52 years representing 52 cards in a deck with two jokers!

By all means, don’t be rude.

Only late in life did I realize that “rude” was not an endearing quality like “prude.”

It’s endearing that you still think one of those is an endearing quality.

Well, mother-in-laws are born troublemakers. They are created to test our strength of endurance.

Yeah, but I did not realize mine would be around for the first 52 years of my marriage and likely to outlive me!
