Sean of the South used the Nashville term Morning Rush in his column. This better describes traffic gridlock than Rush Hour, although Rush is a misnomer either way. The only modern Rush Hour to fit in an hour was the 10pm television show Rush Hour which was cancelled in 2016 after a few episodes. It was just too short to be believable. It did not do much for the careers of Justin Hires and Jon Foo either. I usually miss the Morning Rush because it takes a long time for my retired body to fully wake up and find both the car keys and the garage. So I usually participate in the Evening Rush. The advantage is that I can drive at my normal speed without people honking at me for going too slow. I also have enough time to decide on and plan my turns. And when I am stuck in gridlock, I can safely use my cell phone. Yesterday I called my wife to remind me where I was going. She asked, “Who are you again?” I replied, “That is not important now, just tell me where you live.”
